Founded in 1999, Karlynne Communications provides creative concept and writing services for public, private and nonprofit clients.

Owner Karen L. Rugg and her professional team of communicators develop products that translate legislative goals, technical concepts, corporate and nonprofit missions, and visionary themes into words to capture public minds. 

Prior to founding Karlynne Communications, Ms. Rugg's career included work in public broadcasting, business-to-business advertising, communications capacity-building and message research for clients such as United Airlines and AARP, and media and government relations for the National Space Society in Washington, DC.

She is a member and past president of Women in Aerospace, Association for Women in Communications, and of the Arlington Business Council. She is a published writer and member of Washington Independent Writers.

Karlynne Communications is a certified Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) (Cert #S-6518).
